Entrepreneurs Richard and James Redpath created Stripelight with the vision of bringing laser technology into everyday use.
The development of a viable laser module enabled the application of laser stripe pattern technology for navigation in challenging environments (smoke filled, blacked or collapsed areas, dust, blasting fallout, fog, etc.). Firefighters, who were uniquely positioned to incorporate this technology into their flashlights, were consulted and the technology was tested with them. Building on this feedback, the team further developed ergonomic features tailored to the firefighters' personal protective equipment (PPE) resulting in the Stripelight FRT.
This question led to the first version of the FRT flashlight. The Stripelight team, alongside with firefighters worked together on realizing this first prototype. By extensive testing in actual burn houses and improving prototypes in close cooperation with firefighters, the revolutionary, final end product is launched in 2020: the FRT flashlight! To Stripelight it is of the upmost importance that firefighters work with the best products available on the market.
